Acquiring Keycyte PAM

To install Keycyte PAM, you first need to obtain the OVF (Open Virtualization Format) template file provided by our technical team. This template contains a pre-configured virtual machine image for Keycyte PAM to run with optimal performance.

Obtaining the OVF Template

The first step in Keycyte PAM installation is to acquire the OVF template file from our technical support team. This file can be obtained through the following methods:

Communication Channels

  • Email: info@keycyte.com
  • Phone: +90 (312) 906 0472
  • Ticket System: Keycyte Helpdesk Portal

When requesting the template, sharing the following information with our team will help expedite the process:

  • Installation environment information (Production/Test/Development)
  • Virtualization platform (VMware vSphere/Hyper-V/KVM)
  • Expected user capacity
  • License type and duration

Template Download Process

Since the OVF template file is approximately 4-6 GB in size, downloading over a stable internet connection is recommended. After the download is complete, verifying file integrity is critically important.

File Verification

To check the integrity of the template file:

# MD5 checksum check
md5sum keycyte-pam-template.ovf

# SHA256 checksum check
sha256sum keycyte-pam-template.ovf

The checksum values of your file must match the checksum values you will receive from our team.

System Requirements Check

Before downloading the template, ensure that your target environment meets the system requirements:

  • Minimum: 8 Core CPU, 16 GB RAM
  • Storage: 100 GB system disk + 500 GB data storage
  • Operating System: Debian 12 (Bookworm) support
  • Virtualization: VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM

Template Formats

The following template formats are provided for different virtualization platforms:

VMware vSphere

  • Format: OVF/OVA
  • Supported Versions: vSphere 6.5 and above
  • vCPU: 8 Core (configurable)
  • vRAM: 16 GB (configurable)

Microsoft Hyper-V

  • Format: VHD/VHDX
  • Supported Versions: Hyper-V 2016 and above
  • Generation: 2 (UEFI support)

KVM/Proxmox

  • Format: QCOW2
  • Supported Versions: QEMU 2.5 and above
  • Disk Interface: VirtIO (recommended for performance)

Security Considerations

Secure storage and transfer of template files is critically important:

  • Store template files in a secure location
  • Set appropriate file permissions to prevent unauthorized access
  • Securely destroy template files after installation
  • Use encrypted storage if creating backup copies

Next Steps

After completing the template download process:

  1. Proceed to the Component Configuration section to begin the installation process
  2. Import the template to your chosen virtualization platform
  3. Plan the network configuration
  4. Complete the pre-installation checklist

The installation process takes approximately 30-60 minutes to complete, and the system automatically proceeds to the configuration phase.
