Active Sessions
This section explains the simultaneous monitoring and control operations of active connections made in the Keycyte PAM client interface by administrators. System administrators can view ongoing sessions of users within their authority in real-time and intervene when necessary.
Active Session List
On the active sessions page, all connections currently ongoing in the system are listed in table format. Portal User, Server, Account, Start Date, and Time information is displayed for each session. With this information, which user connected to which server when and with which account they are operating can be tracked in detail.
The Portal User column shows the identity information of the user making the connection, the Server column shows the target server being accessed, and the Account column shows the account information being used. The Start Date and Time columns indicate the session start time and how long it has been active. This information is critically important for monitoring session durations and conducting security analyses.
Simultaneous Session Monitoring
With the Screen icon in the Action column, administrators can connect to active sessions in real-time and intervene when necessary. Through this feature, you can monitor an ongoing connection live, see the operations performed by the user on their screen, and join the session when necessary.
The simultaneous monitoring feature provides the ability to track user keyboard and mouse movements in real-time. This feature is of great importance especially for auditing the operations of personnel working on critical systems, providing guidance during training processes, and instantly detecting security violations.
Session Management Operations
During active session tracking, administrators not only have monitoring capabilities but also active control authority. When necessary, they can take control of the user's keyboard and mouse to give directives, guide operations, or terminate the session when a security risk is detected.
This control mechanism ensures that the activities of personnel working on servers where critical operations are conducted are kept under constant supervision. It can also play an active role in remote support processes, helping to solve technical problems encountered by users.
Tracking active sessions is one of the security features provided by the PAM system. Through this feature, all system accesses are made transparent and unauthorized operations are prevented.
