Session History

This section explains the viewing and analysis operations of historical records of all connections made through Keycyte PAM. Session history contains detailed records that are critically important for system security auditing, user activity analysis, and compliance reporting. These records are compressed with H.264 compression and stored as raw data, taking up very little disk space.

Historical Session Records

On the session history page, comprehensive records of all connections previously made in the system are listed in chronological order. Portal User, Address, Server, Username, Start Date, End Date, and Time information is stored in detail for each record. With this information, which user connected to which server from which IP address when in the past and how long the session lasted can be determined exactly.

The Address column shows the IP address from which the user made the connection, providing important data for security analyses. The Username column indicates the account information used on the target system, while the Start Date and End Date columns show the exact duration of the session.

With the search and filtering tools located at the top of the page, customized queries can be performed for specific date ranges, users, or servers. This feature is vitally important especially in large organizations for quickly accessing specific information among thousands of session records.

The page content can be instantly updated with the Refresh button and the latest session records can be viewed. This feature is particularly useful in security analyses that require continuous monitoring.

Session Record Review

Historical session records can be accessed through the play buttons in the Action column. These records contain screen captures and keyboard activities performed during the session. Review of records can be used for detecting suspicious activities, auditing business processes, and educational evaluations.

Each session record comprehensively stores all user interactions from the beginning to the end of the connection. These records serve as evidence in investigating security incidents and conducting compliance audits.

Security and Compliance Reporting

Session history data plays a critical role in evaluating organizations' compliance with security policies and meeting regulatory requirements. Storing all access records in a central location facilitates audit processes and provides transparency.

Through analysis of historical records, user behavior patterns can be identified, abnormal activities can be detected, and security policies can be optimized. This proactive approach makes it possible to detect potential security threats in advance and take preventive measures.
